shoebox makeover !

Hello Ladies, how have you been ? Hope your having a good weekend … me, well, we’ve already got into our week.

This weekend, I was again bitten hard by the recyle bug, pulled out a couple of items from that large container, piled up with scores of items, waiting for a new look or a new dress, if you may.   I went back to trying out some altered art. A photo frame, a door hanger and a shoebox were dressed up with a fancy look.  It is such a joy when something, generally would find its place in the trash is actually given a new look and a new home. Such a gratifying feeling.

This box will be container for a Mothers day gift with some accessories for her makeup dresser. I think “Mom” is going to be pleased. 

Just a quick somethings about the recipe :

• The flowers are first time tried out and made using punches.
• The paper in the tags are handmade.
• The butterflies are all paper pieced.
• The lace is cut out by border punch.
• The second base of the tags is a label tag from one of my son’s jeans !
• The sky blue paper around the box on the width is fabric paper.

Trust you will appreciate it.  !! Oh I have still not completly posted everything from the last “techniques and folds series” still 3 more to post   ~~~ TIME !!! When do I get enough time ??? But thats the story of every mother these days, isnt it ?
