As you celebrate this season remembering Jesus, know that we as Muslims love Jesus too. We wish peace and blessings upon him and also upon you.
We believe Jesus was one of the greatest Prophets sent by God to guide humanity with the message of purity.
Mary, his chaste mother, we also revere and cherish. The Quran (The Holy book of Muslims) names an entire chapter on Maryam (Mary) in her honor and mentions her son Esa (Jesus), 25 times.
May Gods’ peace be upon Jesus, the one who cured the blind, brought life to the dead and spoke from his cradle – all signs from our one Almight God. the Lord most high. Let us remember his teachings and spread kindness to all.

For the last couple of weeks, we’ve designed several Christmas related crafts. I was requested to display all my crafts in my home by my Dollar Tree FB friends as an entry into the Home tour.
I hope you enjoy the display pieces. All the ornaments and small trees etc have been gifted to all my neighbors who really appreciated the gesture.
Below is a video format of the home decor.
I’d love if you could watch the tutorial on my YouTube channel by pressing the link below. I am new to YouTube and would love if you could support me with a like, share and subscribe to my channel.

I allocated areas by colors so that there would be less of a clash and more of a distinct tone that one can relate too. The below area, was left with the whites, grey, silver and diamondish look. Since it is more of the entry point of the house, I wanted it to carry the stunning factor.

If you watch or view my blog often, then you know that this is generally the area, where I take most of my subject photos. The light from this window makes it possible to grab some natural light. I have used a jewelry display hanger to hang all my DIY ornaments, right on top of the two brown leather cases.

The white stand is from Ikea. One one side of the white stand is a diy-carton-turned-crate with pinecones in it, while on the other side is a tray with the colorful paper trees and scattered golden baubles.

I hung some baubles on the curtain rail and added two white yarn balls with lights in them. (I created those, years back but still adds a touch of whimsy every time I hang it.

The round table hosted the fun and bright red elements.

Both coffee tables/trunks had these centerpieces with baubles and wicker balls.

The display tray is raw ceramic from Crate and barrel. I love how the bright reds contrast with the wicker colors !

Gold, silver and grey are not my favorite combinations but somehow I really liked how they shone. Hence it is displayed in an Ikea tray on the white trunk/coffee table.

Sitting on the couch is my 14 year old tabby, Pepper. He is an old (in animal years) grumpy guy, he has issues with his liver and has difficulty climbing the couch and steps. He is moody and prefers to stay by himself, but the instant Samie’s car reaches the curb, he’ll jump up and get ready to greet him ~ how does he know ? Beats me !!
He is also the one who put us on the track to rescuing dozen and dozens of cats in Dubai. He is now, one of the six fur babies, we live with. 2 out of the Eight, passed away after we came here.

So this is it friends – Our last seasonal post.
Do you have any favorites in the above decor ? I love how the cloche looked on the DIY pizza pan tray with the silver baubles.

I dearly hope, we have learnt a HUGE lesson from 2020 – to cherish those around us, and to be truly GRATEFUL for what we have. I hear alot of people ranting about the inconveniences caused in 2020, but I believe, there are scores and scores of people who have perished due to this Covid.
A little inconvenience should not be a reason to turn into Karen.
Life and being alive should be a celebration. Everything else can wait. Everything will fall in its place.
As long as we are alive and have been blessed with good health – then there is NOTHING to rant about. Whatever little we can do for our neighbors – or friends close by, we should reach out to help them. (maintaining social distance)
I love the quote I read the other day – which says :
We are not all in the same boat – But we are all in the same storm.
Thank you for stopping by and writing to me. I truly appreciate it.

Thank you Jeanie. You are very kind. Read your post about the aftermath. I think your Christmas journal is a great idea ! Its really something special that makes so many Christmases come alive as we read the events. Unfortunately – Zoom has been one reality of 2020. But atleast we can be grateful that we are living in a technology oriented society – so keeping in touch is quite easy. Thank you very much for dropping by and leaving some love here.
Much love to you and Rick.

Oh, that was a fun house tour of your Dollar Tree creations, Naush! And thank you for sharing the Muslim perspective on Christmas and Jesus. I minored in Religious Studies in college and am always interested in learning the different religious perspectives on all things! These are the type of discussions that really move me! Thanks for linking up and being such a fabulous blogger friend! It has been so wonderful getting to know you this past year. Wishing you all the best in 2021!

Aww !! That is such a beautiful and thoughtful comment Shelbee. Thank you hon for dropping by. I just believe, perhaps if we looked at similarities instead of differences, everyone could get along. Hubby and I were watching CORE on Netflix (an old movie) – and we were just saying how Humans have evolved into sophisticated beings but have caused more damage to the human race as well as the planet particularly in the last century… unfortunately in more cases, its due to prejudices against race, color, religion and gender. No religion teaches to hate or to hurt others. We can conquer hearts with alittle respect and whole lot of tolerance. I am so glad that my blog has been a gateway for me to meet such amazing and creative friends like yourself. Thank you again Shelbee.
Much love and best wishes for a safe and healthy 2021 🙂
