Handmade Greeting Cards in Dubai ~ 11

valentines cards in Dubai

Have you ever walked past, a cupcake/pastry store ? Well here, I have ‘tried’ to recreate the look of a store display with some cupcakes and an awning.  Trust you will like it.

This Thank you card, has several things going for it, including, bling, border punch, dry embossing, copic markers, nesstablilities diecut, a tag and the awning. The sentiment is digital stamp while the cupcakes are rubber stamped. There are two design papers, the pearl white one is embossed but its shine does not radiate in the photos 😦   The awning card does take a bit longer to work around becoz without the appropriate measurements, the awning itself, can ruin the card. But if it fits well, its a fab.

I am sharing this card with the following challenges :-

Blessings & a light house .. .. ..

Hello Ladies .. I am still continuing with the fourth card from my “Mojo Jolt” series. I am quite certain, I get possessed certain days of the week and the result of which are all these bits and pieces on these fabulous papers !

Getting back with the lighthouse card, well, some cards just have a way of getting transformed themselves.  I feel most of the time, it is the pattern paper and the sketch that should get all the credit. This card is close to me becoz it has such a quiet charm and appeal.. The pattern paper is again from my GUILT TRIP.  The sketch is gorgeous and I have made a few alterations to house the ribbons here.

If you have read any of my previous posts, then you know, that I have a ‘thing’ for simplistic and clean looks. ( in terms of card making )

Love this digi image and have used it earlier too. But it is just so versatile. It conveys a very strong image and can carry just about any sentiment with it. I have chosen “Count my blessings” on a tag. Since I love having tags somewhere/anywhere. I have used the eyelet to attach the tag to the diamond shaped image so actually, it can move around, upwards and downwards.

Three tiny buttons with three ribbons. What is it with ribbons and buttons !! I am playing with reds and pinks for the first time and I was apprehensive in the begining but I am very pleased with the final look. Probably becoz the pink is full of strong tight patterns.

The list is endless when it comes to who the recipient of this card could be. To a son, father, husband, brother ….. again, it could very easily be given to ladies as well. A sentiment like this on valentines would be so so ideal and ‘real’.

I was inspired by the sketch from http://michelleperkettstudio.blogspot.com/ and ironically I was late in linking it to them and I missed the bus 🙂

    Until my next card/project.

Be safe and pop over again. See ya !

    Thank you sunshine !

A couple of themes / elements that were the real inspiration for this card was one where, we hadda use a K for Key, and one where the project had a moving part and one which asked for pink, coffee brown and blue and one which asked for monochromatic colors.  So basically, this card was an attempt at meeting all these criterias and a few more.

Love Pink !! Always will.  Like some one once mentioned “Pink is an attitude !”  But seriously, its an easy color to please and lets almost colors gel in, especially if it has this gorgeous rushed pattern to it. I have incorportated, tiny flowers, and 3 very cute pink glassy butterflies. The rubberstamped  tweety bird is a real winner with me. He is so ideal for just about every sentiment except sorrow perhaps !  (He almost looks like he is singing outta joy !!!)   A pink wire is wrapped around the mettalic key.

The digi stamp sentiment, is super cute. This card is so versatile. Its ideal for almost all relationships. Mom/Dad to eachother, lovers, Kids to parents, parents to kids,  to teachers, great friends, collegues, classmates. Its a nice card to keep handy when you really want to show how much you appreciate someone in your life.

Down below is the set of challenges it enters but right now is the card itself.

Before I get on with the card display ~~  Ladies, again, I would really like to thank, all of you’ll wonderful souls, who left such heart warming comments for my previous, first time attempt at easel cards. Darlings, How would you know how much a tiny comment from you,  causes a ripple effect of inspirations upon inspirations. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting me and liking my creations.

The key is tied to the spiral wire so it actually hangs however the above picture is scanned and I could not get the key in its actual position falling downward coz it was in a scanner. To get a better idea, please see the slideshow.
